Today SeeCloud backend has been updated to version 16.4.6-1. The new version includes an improved version of the cloud classifier software.
The previous version had, under certain conditions, a hard time distinguishing between stratocumulus, altocumulus and nimbostratus clouds. For a casual observer the distinction is easier, since the clouds are located at different altitudes and/or produce precipitation or not. None of these preconditions is available for the SeeCloud analyzer. So we improved the analyzer by training it with a boatload of new training samples. The new version is available for all clients. Enjoy!
